I can't believe I've been listening to DECO for like a decade, but they've always put out songs i've absolutely adored!! i didn't think they could top Monitoring's original version for a long time, the energy and MV in that one are just top tier, but here deco did it AGAIN!!!!!! SOMEHOW!!!

it really makes me nostalgic to hear that pop-rock spin that their 2010s music used to have, and as fun and sly as the original is, i love that this put more of a wholesome version on it. The song's got so much more of a hopeful upkick to in that i cant help but love it more than the original. plus all the cute stars in the new mv lol

(plus! we still get a wink at the camera in the end, which I love!! the dual-aspects the best part of the original, i'm glad it doesn't lose that playfulness by amping up the sweetness. hatsune miku you will always be famous in my house)

I love love love The Marías. María Zardoya has a truly angelic voice. I remember coming across the band thanks to their collabs with Eyedress and Cuco and being surprised it took this long to find them! You can definitely hear the inspiration in their stuff from Selena/Norah Jones/Sade/Tame Impala. They put me in the ultimate relaxed mood, haha.

Sienna is one of those songs that absolutely breaks my heart. It's got such a soft and tender sound to it, but it wears its heartache in the forefront, and I always love that. sad music rules actually

the story really gets me too. I know its no good to get caught up in what could be from past loves and relationships, but there's a bittersweetness to what could have been when you think about it, y'know? I like a song that lets you sit in that

I feel like every few months or so I have to go back and listen to Gus and I'm always really glad that I do. He's got so many beautiful tracks. I used to listen to his stuff so much in highschool off of soundcloud (lumped in with friends' homemade tracks lol) and his stuff still gets the same feelings out of me as it did back then.

this one will always be a favorite of mine. he always had such an incredible way of choosing these really atmospheric beats that really complimented his raw and earnest lyricism. listening to this one always just stops me in my tracks but in a good way. I'm glad to be in the moment with him because it really used to feel like he was there getting what I was going through and stuff. you know how it is when you're a sad teen
