Hey!! This is my gaming page!
Here's where I'm cataloguing all the games I play and my thoughts on them for 2025!
Let's get into it!!

how could you do this to me
dear god i did not expect to love this game as much as I have. I didn't even have strong feelings for it for the first 2/3rds of my first plathrough, with much of the story's slow reveal got (wrongfully) ignored for my desire to keep leaping into its incredibly satifying combat, haha. I snagged it through Game Pass and spent a lot of time admiring the pretty scenery and snappy, satisfying fights, but that was all until I had reached the Puppet King
thank god my rental ran out of time! I bought it on Steam during a sale and got glued to my PC rebuilding my progress (something I thought would take weeks, but I got so engrossed it only took two days to reach the final level of the game), and really decided to savor every second I had on screen. The game asks that of you when logging the vinyl records (i loved that collectible idea, how cute) and completing side quests and getting other collectibles, and I was really grateful to take a closer look into it. Plus, it's just stupidly satisfying to play. It's a perfect example of the endurance test of souls-likes and parrying makes you feel like you're tearing down these titans yourself. Great stuff.I love the dense, tragic story it tells, the cast and their performance give so much to the experience. And! God! I just really the look of it, it's a lovingly crafted game and immaculately put together. I really came to love the protagonist and his journey, enough to write a little fan work (that I might expand upon having finished the game now, and since I'm going to play the DLC soon)! There's a number of tracks I keep coming back to, and it's a game I love booting up just to spend time in. Playing New Game Plus now and I'm sure I'll be back over a few times for this one. Really a great work.

I liked the story it was starting to tell though, and I did feel strongly for our dear companion Red. I hope the game is right in that we've given him the best we could in the end. The sound design in this game is great, that dreadful skittering from the spiders left me on edge for a high portion of my exploration. I liked a lot of the puzzles and groundwork in this game, it could get really clever (though I wasn't always sure what was possible, i second guessed a lot of solutions, haha), and the point-and-click mechanics always are a charm point for me in an old title. I'm really looking forward for these games to get better and better!

NEUTRAL ROUTE
I think there's something to be said about how generally unsatisfying the neutral playthough is, and how that can be an obstacle to replaying the whole thing again just to get the good ending/geno ending. my partner wasn't too keen on immediately replaying those hotland puzzles or the less-intuitive gameplay style compared to deltarune and I can't really blame them (i'm getting him to the good parts to experience the good ending at least!) but it still had those some great laughs. despite everything, it's still undertale!

CHAPTER 3 + 4
i cannot go long here because i could fill this whole page. I'm glad mettaton adopted tenna or else I was going to. I'll never see watercoolers without being filled with absolute horror. i'm already filled with horror (collecting all the eggs is a mission that fills me with dread this playthough) (this series already just harkens back to a deep childhood nostalgic joy and nostalgic fear I cannot describe).
I'M OLD! Gerson's monologue meant a lot to me both about fate and creating, Jackenstein fight was one of the best things I've ever played, The Roaring Knight Fight Holy Shit. I'm just listing things now. I'm sure I'll have to yap about it another time. I love You Deltarune, My Deltarune

Poor little Mono. The last stage of this game had me cycling through emotions faster than I could register them! But what a ride. I really enjoyed the puzzles and I got to experience this title with a friend, making the companionship in the journey felt in my playthrough. You can really tell this game was tested to perfection as well, there was never a time where things felt beyond an encouraging challenge. The only fault I give it in the end is the same issue I had with the first--in trying to not overstay its welcome, I always feel left wanting a little more from these games, or the experience to last just a little longer.
